Shark Tale
Shark Tale - © 2004 DreamWorks
Opening Date: Oct 01, 2004
Rated: PG (for some mild language and crude humor)
Length: n/a
Studio: DreamWorks
Grade: B
(Review by Sean Conover)

Although it will ultimately be compared to Pixar's "Finding Nemo," Dreamwork's "Shark Tale" has nothing to do with the other, with the exception that they both occur in the ocean and the main characters are talking fish. "Tale" is an amusing story on it's own, and has quite a few laugh-out-loud moments, but just don't compare it to "Nemo," which is clearly a superior film. Will Smith carries the film, and the fishy-characterizations of Martin Scorcesee and Robert DeNiro are fun to watch in action, but the overall arch of the story never really catches fire. Fun but forgettable.
